Word for Word

Word for Word National Non-Fiction Festival is Australia’s only national literary event with a dedicated focus on non-fiction writing and ideas.

The seventh annual Word for Word National Non-Fiction Festival will take on a new life in 2020, changing to an online format as it continues to showcase the very best non-fiction from Australia’s brightest writers and thinkers.

Word for Word is the flagship literary and cultural event of the Geelong Regional Library Corporation and is proud to have had the support of James Bennett as a sponsor of the festival since it was first hosted at the iconic Geelong Library & Heritage Centre in 2016.

Geelong Regional Libraries has been voted Victoria’s number one performing public library service for six years in a row and Australia’s leading library supplier, James Bennett, has been part of that successful trajectory for the past 12 years.
